I am married with 2 grown-up children and 2 grandchildren. 

After having our children, I had a change of career and moved from customer service (when it really was that!) to working at my local pre-school, which I subsequently managed for 11 years. I then worked as Nursery Nurse in a local primary school. During these years I was a member of a Baptist Church in Cambridge where I helped lead Messy Church, Holiday Clubs and Children's Sunday club, as well as being a Deacon for many years. 

We have always enjoyed walking and exploring the outdoors so were overjoyed to move to Church Stretton in 2015.  I started working at St Lawrence's as a TA just over a year later, leaving in 2023 to be able to pursue travel opportunities and my role as the Children's and Families Worker at Stretton Parish, which I continue at this time. It is a great privilege to be able to continue to have close links with the school through my role but also to be part of the governor team, where I hope my experience and insight can help the school to achieve the best outcomes for all of the pupils.
