An Important Message About School Closure
Dear Parents/Carers
The prime minister has announced that a second lockdown will start at midnight tonight.
Therefore, our plans to re-open to all pupils tomorrow must now be shelved. Instead we will be opening only to children of keyworkers and vulnerable pupils (those with an EHCP or social worker involvement). The school may also identify other vulnerable pupils and one of us will be in touch tomorrow to offer places to these pupils.
Nursery will be open to all children who usually attend as from tomorrow and every day.
All parents who wish to place children in school, as they are keyworkers with no provision to have children safely at home, can bring pupils into school as from tomorrow.
Children coming to school tomorrow must be brought in by a parent, entering the main gate only (by Carpe Diem mural) and we will confirm that a place is available on arrival. Please arrive between 08:30 and 08:50, keeping 2m+ apart and wearing masks (adults).
If you have any questions tonight, do email me.
It's going to be another very challenging time, but we'll work together like last time and get though the next 6 weeks as best as we can. Work will be set for pupils at home (laptops will be made available if needed) and our phone calling system will start up again.
Good luck everyone and be positive - we can make this work!
Kind regards
Alan Brannen (Headteacher)
