🕊️ Collective Worship at St Lawrence CE Primary

🌟 Our Christian Vision

"The whole school community united in helping others and the environment locally, nationally and internationally (The Good Samaritan) and ensuring that every pupil becomes an ambassador of The St Lawrence Way (Be Responsible; Encourage Others; Show Respect and Try Our Best). Our school will impact positively upon pupils’ academic attainment, curriculum experience, attitudes and behaviour; as well as providing a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities."

This vision is rooted in the parable of the Good Samaritan, inspiring our pupils to live out Christian values through compassion, responsibility, and service.

🙏 What is Collective Worship?

Collective Worship is the heartbeat of our school day, offering a time for reflection, prayer, and celebration of our Christian ethos. It is:

  • Inclusive: Welcoming all pupils and staff, regardless of faith background.
  • Inspirational: Encouraging spiritual growth and moral development.
  • Invitational: Providing space for personal response and engagement.

We ensure worship is educational and sensitive to the diverse beliefs within our community

 🙏Our Prayer

Dear God,

Thank you for our school community, here in the Shropshire Hills.

As we enjoy the beauty of where we live, help us to be like the Good Samaritan - loving and compassionate to our neighbours, near and far, who need our support.

Give us the courage to offer help to everyone; never being too busy or judgemental to respond.

Amen
